The group leader will walk through your residence with you. He will ask you about any special circumstances to keep in mind and ask if you have any special requests.
Reading the meter
When handing over the keys, you should read the meters and have them confirmed by the landlord:
- Electricity
- Water
- Gas
Floors
Before the move starts, all floors should be covered with the protective paper. Confern is also happy to provide plastic sheets and paper.
Bin bags
Make sure you have bin bags at hand so that no waste is left behind in the residence.
Mailbox
Empty the mailbox after the postman has made his rounds.
Name plates
Remove all name plates from the mailbox, the door bell and the door.
Clean sweep
We will gladly organise the final cleaning of your residence.
Transfer protocol
Inspect the empty residence with the landlord or a representative, prepare a transfer protocol and have it confirmed.
Deposit
Have the landlord return you your deposit or obtain a confirmation of the bank transfer.
Once all renovation work is finished…
… you should make a final inspection round through all rooms and the garden to check that everything is okay and that nothing was left behind.
Please remember to close all gas and water taps, unscrew all fuses, check the toilets, lower the blinds and lock all outside doors.
Bins need to be put out on the street or bin bags handed to a neighbour if you have arranged this in advance.
All keys to the residence need to be handed to the landlord or a representative, this needs to be confirmed in writing.
